OUR MISSION IS....
To assist people with disabilities who are currently homeless or are at-risk of losing their home(s). We assist this population with affordable housing and life skills development for independent living.

Scatter Site -A Place We Call Home
The program is designed to provide affordable housing to individuals and famiies with disabilities who have been referred through New York City HASA.  We also provide support services [listed below].

Budgeting/Time Management
Substance abuse referrals
Assistance with daily living skills
Permanency planning
Bereavement counselling
Job readliness training
Interventions with landlord/ tenant issues
Crisis interventions
Parenting Seminars
Wellness / Nutrition/ Hygienics
Problem solving skills/ Support groups
Recreational activities
Public advocacy

Urban Stratgies Inc. is a registed 501(3)community-based organization. USI has been providing social services and housing to the Oceanhill/ Brownsville communities for over 20 years. USI offers an array of programs and services such as: Head Start, day care, teeneage services act program, several transitional residences, YouthBuild program, Scatter Site, and over 600 low-modereate income, as well as, homeless residential rental apartments.
