ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Reports to the Program Director and is responsible for providing daily administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office and shelter. The Administrative Assistant will support the Program Director through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. The Administrative Assistant will communicate via telephone and email, ensuring that duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES
Reports to the Program Director and is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Social Services Department. The Director of Social Services plans, guides, and oversees the daily internal operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. The Director of Social Services development, compiles, tracks, maintains and reports social service-related deliverables while supervising the work of the Social Services Supervisors, Case Managers, Employment Specialists, Housing Specialists, and Entitlement Specialists.
CASE MANAGER
Case Managers report to the Social Services Supervisor and work directly with shelter clients to aid their journey towards independence. Case managers provide residents with independent living skills, aiding the search for permanent housing, public benefits, and jobs. Case Managers also assist with the development of overall life skills and personal development guidance. Services may include but are not limited to social, economic, and educational direction. The Case Manager is responsible for establishing relationships with accredited medical institutions or clinics, and other community organizations in order to maintain a steady referral base for clients.
BOOKKEEPER
The bookkeeper will report to the Program Director and is responsible for computing, classifying and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records are accurate. The bookkeeper delivers support to Urban Strategies, Inc. accounting team through accounts receivables, journal entries, billing, bank reconciliations and other duties as assigned.
DRIVER
Under the general supervision of the Shift Supervisor, a Driver has the primary responsibility for ensuring the safety and welfare of staff, residents, and volunteers during transportation to and from the shelter and referral sites. The driver must ensure the Van is clean and in proper working condition at all times; determine and follow safe and efficient routes; ensure all occupants are in appropriate restraints; maintain all transportation records required by the program.
HOUSING SPECIALIST
The Housing Specialist reports to the Social Services Supervisor and will aid clients towards self-xufficiency by securing permanent housing and teaching independent living skills. The Housing Specialist will provide community resources and referrals. S/he will provide access to additional services including housing, social services, preventative services, education, mental health, and legal.
RESIDENTIAL AIDE
Licensed individual with a updated Security Guard license, F80 and Food handler permit. Must remain professional at all time. Will be responsible for ensuring that the facility is safe and secure at all time by conducting rounds. Must be able to provide details shift reports and communicate effectively with leadership. Individual must be able to assist with food distribution and keep a clean and orderly environment as per DOHMH standards.
