About our Youth Programs
Urban Strategies, Inc. After School Programs are licensed by NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Our programs service youth between the ages of five to twelve. We provide an extracurricular setting consisting of safe structured activities such as homework assistance, music, arts and crafts, drama, fitness, field trips, and opportunities for neighborhood youth to work together and experience their communities.
Programs are linked with curriculums which target reading, math, science, computer literacy and the arts. Programs may also offer new experiences such as youth leadership, tutoring and mentoring opportunities. Urban Strategies After School works with Brooklyn College and the Manhattan Children’s Museum to provide additional resources to afterschool programming. All children enrolled within our after school programs receive snacks or meals.
We accept HRA Childcare Vouchers, ACD Vouchers, and 1199 Union Subsidized Childcare.
